Songs of Love, War & Peace

About

Ars Nova Choir's 2019 Concert Season continues with “Songs of Love, War & Peace”. Composers throughout the centuries have been fascinated with writing music expressing the hope for peace, the victory at war and the passion for a loved one. This concert features songs of the Victorian age through to the 20th century highlighting these many facets of life accompanied by new orchestrations for a small ensemble of wind and string instruments. Included among the works performed will be movements from Sir Karl Jenkins’ well-known choral work "The Armed Man". “Songs of Love, War & Peace” by Ars Nova Choir and accompanied by Ars Antiqua Chamber Ensemble will take place on Saturday 17 August at 2.00pm at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Liardet Street, New Plymouth. Admission is $20 and Students $5 - ticket sales at the door. We look forward to seeing you!
